Our mission, philosophy, and statement of objectives at CFS, a boarding school for boys, presents the life of the school as a dialogue between faculty and students. For this endeavor to be successful, a student at CFS needs to consistently be:

Commitment To School A CFS student:

- Knows and acts in agreement with the mission and goals of the school.
- Follows all policies stated within the Student/Parent Handbook.
- Encourages others to follow school policies, while keeping their dignity intact.
- Demonstrates a commitment to School beyond required responsibilities.
- Helps others succeed (academically, socially, athletically and with cottage life).
- Treats all property and equipment with respect.

Student Standards
A CFS student consistently demonstrates:
- Positive attitudes with adults.
- Positive attitudes with peers.
- Appropriate communication skills.
- Compliance with dress code and personal appearance guidelines.
- Development through self-evaluation: (intellectual, social and physical).
Learning Environment
A CFS student:
- Helps maintain an atmosphere of respect
that encourages discussion and learning.
- Helps maintain a dynamic learning
environment that stimulates growth by:
- rising above the challenges offered
- presenting himself in a confident fashion
- consistently striving to do well
- maintaining an active involvement in all areas
- Demonstrates responsibilities by:
- being on time
- being well prepared
- doing the assigned work
- using technology appropriately
- following rules and guidelines of conduct and behavior
- encouraging peers to also meet their responsibilities
- Utilizes evening study halls effectively.
- Prepares for appropriate and frequent evaluations (e.g. academic, cottage life, athletic).

- accepting constructive criticism as means of strengthening.
- areas that need improvement learning from mistakes and failures.
