Our Private School Offers Need Based Scholarships
It has long been the mission of CFS to provide a competitive, college preparatory, independent school education to boys who might not otherwise be able to take advantage of such an opportunity. At the present time, the cost of educating a boy at CFS is over $35,000 per year, a staggering figure, well beyond the reach of most families. With this in mind, parents or guardians are asked to pay what they can reasonably afford, based upon an assessment of the financial circumstances of each family.

While we fully expect every family to be invested in their son's education, it is our hope that no qualified applicant will be unable to attend CFS because of financial hardship. Tuition is assessed on a sliding scale from a minimum of $4,000 per year to a maximum of $18,000 per year for boarding students, and $12,500 per year for day students. Under this policy, CFS awards need based scholarships to all students with a value between $17,000 and $31,000 annually. In fact, members of the student body currently receive over six million dollars in tuition assistance annually. In addition, we guarantee that your son's tuition, once determined, will remain the same during his continuous enrollment at CFS.

To assist us in determining what a family can be expected to contribute to the annual cost of attendance at CFS, we ask that the Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) be completed by all applicants and forwarded to the School and Student Service for Financial Aid in Princeton, NJ. Please be sure to include CFS as a report recipient (Code #2429). If you will send the PFS to the School and Student Service for Financial Aid at the same time as you apply for admission to CFS, it will help us avoid unnecessary delays in reaching financial aid decisions for accepted applicants. The PFS is available online at https://sss.ets.org/pfsHome/do. Also, any family that chooses not to apply for aid will be expected to pay the maximum amount stated above for boarding or day students.

Please be assured that we value your interest in CFS, and we encourage you to seriously consider the educational opportunities offered here for your son. If we can answer any questions you may have about the application process, please call the Admissions Office at (610) 363-5347. We look forward to hearing from you again.

We invite you to come to an open house at our school for boys.
