Student Activities
Go back: Home / Our School / Campus Life

A wide variety of student activities are offered at CFS. Students may voluntarily participate in as many or as few of these as they determine appropriate.

  • Each weekend there are a variety of trips to local activities.
  • During the week, there are scheduled trips with advisors, field trips or athletic events to watch.
  • There are scheduled assemblies, performances and events either produced by our students or done by professionals in the field.
  • Students are able to participate in the development and distribution of two publications, the Greystock News, which is our school newspaper and Hidden Talents, the literary magazine.
  • Our students write and produce a weekly radio program for WCOJ called Teen Voices.

Weekends
On weekend evenings there are a variety of activities that may include a trip to the movies or to a local dance.

On a Saturday or Sunday, there might be pick-up basketball, volleyball, touch football or frisbee golf activities. The School also sponsors on-campus speakers, as well as off-campus trips to plays, concerts, museums and other cultural activities. The time-honored pastime of “Let's Hit The Mall” is also observed.

Boarding students may go home most weekends and day students occasionally stay on campus on a Friday or Saturday night. About 70% of the student body remains at school on a typical weekend and takes part in these activities.
