CFS - A Christian Boarding School CFS was founded in 1918 by an Episcopal priest, The Reverend Dr. Charles Wesley Shreiner. Ever since that time, chapel services have been a part of campus life. Each week there is a full Eucharistic service on Wednesday morning at 9:00 for all teachers and students. This is just like a Sunday service you would see in any Episcopal church and includes faculty and students as readers, ushers, flag bearers and crucifers. On Sundays, when the group is smaller because of students who have gone home, we have a service of Morning Prayer that lasts about 20 minutes. These services give the boys the opportunity to observe faith in action, just as history classes, competitive sports and art and music give them opportunities to be exposed to different areas of life they might not otherwise experience. We feel that a Christian influence at our boarding school is a useful addition to a well-rounded education.
