The C.O.R.E. Community Service Program is a service-learning program designed to:
- Involve students in their communities, both in school and beyond
- Develop students sense of responsibility for their environment
- Promote student leadership
- Build students self-confidence
This is accomplished through participation in a wide range of community service projects and personal reflection upon completion of each project.
Community service projects include:
- Race for the Cure
- Walk for the Whisper
- Adopt a Family Salvation Army Thanksgiving Program
- United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program
- Greater Chester County Gem Show
- MS Walk of Downingtown
- Chester County Flower Show
- Reading stories at Carl O. Benner Elementary School
